One of the founders of CRS Mike started his career in 1983 at the Credit Insurance Association (CIA) where he worked
for ten years. He then moved to Sedgwick/Marsh where he became National Sales Director of their Trade Credit Division and then Director of
International Sales. He has negotiated credit policies for some of the UK's major Plc's.
With two young daughters Mike is outnumbered in a household full of females and he confirms that the battle for the TV remote control has now been lost. Mike loves music and sport. His annual 'lads' pilgrimage to South Carolina, where he enjoys golf in the sun and cold beer on the veranda, is a fixture in the diary.
Hayden is one of the founders of CRS and started his career in 1993, working for an independent broker and initially
negotiating marine and aviation risks.
Following a move to Sedgwick/Marsh he was involved in major client servicing before becoming Northern Regional Sales Director. Hayden is an innovator and has negotiated credit insurance facilities for some of the UK's major Groups. He has also developed products to support banking and finance in specialised industries.
Hayden loves all sports, is a keen cricketer and a racing aficionado. The Cheltenham Festival in particular is the highlight of his sporting calendar.
One of the founders of CRS Lisa has over 20 years experience in our market. She initially worked for Willis before joining
Sedgwick/Marsh where she developed a particular specialism in metals and engineering. From those early days her sector experience has broadened
and she has responsibility for some of our major clients in food and construction.
Lisa's approach to broking combines technical ability, hard work, tenacity and a plain speaking 'Northern' approach that delivers results for her clients.
A long suffering Leeds United supporter, Lisa lives in hope of a long awaited return to Premier League glory. She also likes a fast car - a Jaguar is her current vehicle of choice but Lisa has her sights firmly set on a Porsche!
Susan, originating in Essex, understandably started her career as a local hairdresser, but quickly established that this
was not for her and headed for the City, joining Trade Indemnity and progressing through the ranks, ultimately becoming an underwriter in the
Timber and Steel sectors.
An initial involvement in the broking world brought her to Leeds where she worked for CIA alongside Mike Clark, handling a portfolio of major UK clients principally in the construction and textile sectors.
The birth of two children prompted a short career break but the attraction of credit insurance broking was too much to resist and she joined Jardine Credit Insurance in the mid 1990's, quickly building a portfolio of clients and additionally establishing a reputation as a quality surety bond broker.
Susan joined CRS in January 2012 and has brought her depth of experience to the team. Her interests include socialising and an appreciation of fine wines.
Matt joined CRS in 2008 having worked in the banking industry.
During his training at CRS Matt quickly demonstrated strong technical ability and has quickly progressed to managing his own portfolio of clients.
Matt has a passion for music, particularly rock/metal, is a pianist and music aficionado. In common with many of the CRS team sport features prominently and he is a season ticketholder at Bradford City.
Steve has over 25 years of experience, working initially as the Credit Manager of a major UK plastics distributor where he was responsible for a large customer
base in a fast moving sector. This role also encompassed administering the Company's credit insurance policy. Having made the move into broking, he joined CRS from Aon where, for
7 years, he was responsible for managing a portfolio of major Clients. Steve's credit insurance experience and practical knowledge of managing the receivables asset adds a further
dimension to the CRS team.
Steve is a keen sportsman having played for Rotherham United and Halifax Town in his younger days. Most of his career was at semi-professional level with Emley AFC for whom he made an FA Vase Final appearance at Wembley Stadium. Nowadays his sporting efforts are concentrated on lowering his golf handicap.
Rachael first joined Sedgwick Credit & Political Risks as a graduate trainee in 1993 followed by several years working for a large credit
insurer and later as part of the European Business servicing team for Marsh Credit in London. She then moved back up north to get married, took several years
off to look after her two young children, before joining CRS to work on New Business Development.
Rachael enjoys travelling, particularly in Italy where she is a speaker of the language. She also enjoys Italian food and wine and playing golf with her family. She also shares her husband's love of rock music but is not so keen on his and the children's constant loud guitar practice.
Roger joined CRS in August 2011, with his credit insurance career going back to the year when England won the football World Cup! This was
when Roger started at the government-owned Export Credits Guarantee Department. He stayed for 7 years before joining the credit insurance broking industry where
he has remained ever since. His early broking experience spanned a number of businesses in London, and for the last 20 years Roger has lived and worked in the North
of England. He has headed up regional offices and been responsible for developing, placing and maintaining national and multi-national programmes, which have been
insured with a variety of underwriters.
With the children long left home, he enjoys cricket (watching only these days) and is a keen golfer. Walking his dogs is another enjoyable pursuit.
His wife runs a falconry business and Roger enjoys most week-ends with the birds!
Sally has worked in credit insurance since 1984 starting her career with what was then 'Trade Indemnity plc' (now Euler Hermes UK). After
5 years with this insurer, she then joined the broking industry as a Service Executive and managed a large portfolio of clients for many years. She joined CRS
after working for Marsh Credit for 8 years.
Her preference these days is to retain a largely office based role and Sally is often the first point of contact for credit limits, overdue account and claims issues. Her attention to detail is second to none and she also manages our FSA compliance issues.
Sally is a great supporter of animals and animal welfare, loves motorcycles and rides a custom bike, she is also an active member of the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG). Her musical tastes are mainly 'rock' but also likes to reminisce with regular to 70's glam rock weekends!
Debbie has worked in the credit insurance industry for over eighteen years. She started her career with Willis
and worked there for ten years as a secretary before graduating to supporting account executives. After a brief spell at Transamerica
Debbie she then joined Marsh Credit and worked there for seven years. When CRS was looking to expand its team in the Midlands Debbie
was the obvious candidate. She is technically strong, very reliable and good fun.
Debbie has two children and is a keen Aston Villa supporter. She describes working at CRS as a 'breath of fresh air'.
Katie joined CRS from Marsh Credit where she worked as a Client Advisor for 11 years, providing support on a number of
major accounts. Prior to joining the credit insurance industry she worked at the International Operations Centre for Lloyds Bank.
Katie is totally outnumbered at home with her three boys - that sounds challenging! Since joining our Midlands team in March 2010 she has quickly settled into her client support role and we are delighted to have her onboard. An Aston Villa supporter, Katie enjoys going out and socialising.

office, Branch Director for Marsh's Manchester Office and a number of years as National Sales Director for Marsh. More recently and prior to
joining CRS, Mark worked for the credit insurer, Atradius as National Head of Broker Sales for UK and Ireland.
Mark's appointment has culminated in the formation of our Midlands office enabling the business to expand its client portfolio in the Midlands and South whilst being able to offer a local service.
A big Manchester United supporter, (since the age of 4 and hence he would like to make known that he is not a glory hunter), music fan and occasional social drinker!
A graduate in law, Amanda joined the CRS team in 2011 having worked for a major competitor. Her role is principally, but not exclusively, office based.
Amanda is technically very strong and in her own quiet and understated way she delivers excellent results for our clients. She is a dedicated, reliable and meticulous problem solver for CRS.
A frequent visitor to far flung and exotic climes, Amanda enjoys travelling. Whilst on domestic shores she also appreciates a pint (note: not a half) of real ale, preferably brewed in Yorkshire.
Mark is also a very experience practitioner in our market. His grounding in the market was with the Credit Insurance
Association/Aon whom he joined in 1991 and after 14 years with this broker he joined CRS in 2005.
Mark's principal role at CRS is development of new business and his responsibilities have widened to include joint responsibility for growth of our London operations.
In his younger days Mark played Lancashire League Cricket to a high standard. After a long break from the game he has made a welcome return and, in summer months, can be found deftly applying bat to ball at Littleborough Cricket Club.
Catherine began her career in credit insurance immediately after graduating in 2008 with a law degree. Catherine
previously worked for a competitor but joined CRS in the Spring of 2014.
At home, Catherine loves shopping and exotic holidays but these are fast becoming a distant memory, as most weekends she can be found either on the touchline or in goal - the joys of being the only female in the house!
Lil joined CRS at the end of 2014 having completed studies in Maths, Physics and sciences. Her language skills are invaluable when supporting our commitment to international business via our partnership with Astreos. Whilst in France she attended fashion college for a year and then started work as a PA/Translator for a construction company. In her spare time Lil enjoys shopping, socialising and playing/watching sports.
Joe joined CRS with a background in advertising and sales for a national construction magazine. Prior to this he worked in
the travel sector and was based in Gran Canaria. Joe’s principal role is development of new business. He particularly enjoys learning about how
different sectors operate and the challenges businesses face regarding trade risk.
Outside of CRS Joe is kept busy by his son Leo, but in his spare time enjoys watching football (Liverpool FC), gaming, and socialising with friends.
Michele started her career in banking in South Africa and joined the country’s largest credit insurer Credit Guarantee in the late nineties as a Senior Risk Researcher. She joined CRS in December 2015, with over 18 years experience in the industry. She enjoys running, spending time with her family and travelling abroad.
Caroline is another very experienced member of the CRS team with over 25 years in our industry, working with both brokers and underwriters. She joined CRS in 2015 to support the growth of our Manchester office and her role is primarily office based.
Interests include, in no particular order: the gym, cycling, cinema, music, food, dogs, donkeys and gin. Dislikes, perhaps surprisingly for one born and bred in the North West…Morrissey!
Josh joined CRS as a trainee in 2016 after studying Business & Economics, Geography and IT at A-levels. At this stage of his career the role is principally office based, working closely with our experienced support staff.
In his spare time, Josh enjoys watching football – specifically Liverpool FC. He also enjoys drinking and socialising with friends.
Mark’s background is in invoice finance where he provided funding and bad debt protection for the corporate and SME market. After
12 years working in the banking and independent finance sector, 2015 offered the chance to focus specifically on the trade credit insurance market
and he joined one of the world’s largest Insurers as a Commercial Underwriter.
Mark subsequently joined CRS in 2016 with the principal role of developing New Business from our Manchester Office.
In his spare time Mark is passionate about motor sports and particularly Formula 1.
